[Comments on the point systems currently used in the forum]
What I always liked about this forum is that it is not just a market place but a community of players. So, I devised the point system two years ago on the following observations:
1) When there are multiple offers on an item with different rune combinations, it was hard to figure out where you stood since rune preference and valuation differed from player to player.
2) It was hard for not-so-rich players to trade up for high-end gears and HRs.
The whole point of the point system was to make it possible for players to add points from different items and low runes to trade up for desperately needed gears and runes. I noticed that there are rune ceilings put in place on high-end gears and HRs on some of the threads using point system. And I thought it was good time to make this comment as a friendly reminder on the spirit of point system.
When you start discriminate on point combination options, this forum becomes nothing more than a cold market place. After all, D2 is just a game but the human connections and the community it fosters isn't.
